Created for llama lovers who are not hikers, a Smoky Mountain Llama Treks farm visit allows guests to get as up close and personal with the llamas as you like.

You’ll meet the llama herd, learn their names and a little bit about their unique personalities. Petting our llamas is always allowed and some of them even like being hugged.

If you love animals, you can’t go wrong with this interactive learning experience!

We’re located in Cosby, TN nearby the best whitewater rafting in the region. We’re about a 40 minute (beautiful) drive from Gatlinburg and Pigeon Forge.

I hear that llamas kick and spit. Are they safe to hike with?

Our llamas are professionally trained and highly socialized. They are friendly and loveable hiking partners, and are entirely safe to be around so long as you follow your guide’s instructions.

Wait, are we just walk your llamas for you? What's in it for grown ups?

Both kids and adults love the chance to spend real time connecting to our gentle, empathetic llamas. Adults especially find that our guides offer a fun and inspirational perspective during the hike. Even our most stubborn holdouts get into it and admit to having a great time on their llama trek!
